Dr. Judy Mikovits has been called one of the most accomplished scientist of her generation.

In 1980, Dr. Mikovits received her BA degree in chemistry from the University of Virginia. She worked as a laboratory technician at Upjohn Pharmaceuticals in Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1986 to 1987. In 1988, she worked as a laboratory technician at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Frederick, Maryland under Francis Ruscetti, who later served as her Ph.D supervisor, and in 1991 she received a Ph.D in biochemistry from George Washington University. Her 1991 doctoral thesis revolutionized the treatment of HIV/AIDS. At the height of her career. Dr. Mikovits published a blockbuster article in the journal Science that sent shockwaves through the scientific community.

On July 22, 2009, a special meeting was held with twenty-four leading scientists at the National Institutes of Health to discuss early findings that a newly discovered retrovirus was linked to chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), prostate cancer, lymphoma, and eventually neurodevelopmental disorders in children. When Dr. Judy Mikovits finished her presentation the room was silent for a moment, then one of the scientists said, “Oh my God!” The resulting investigation would be like no other in science.

In her book, Plague, Dr. Mikovits tells the story of how the practice of growing viruses on mouse cells (for use in vaccines) resulted in the transfer of a disease causing retrovirus to humans, which caused chronic fatigue syndrome. She is an expert on the hazards of viral contamination of vaccines and other biologics. He also specializes in educating about how to bring the body back into balance by utilizing the body’s own biochemical pathways, including the endocannabinoid and purinergic signaling pathways
